Letter from the Principal
On behalf of the faculty and staff, welcome to Weimar Hills School, Home of the Warriors! Our school rules reflect our core values: Warriors are Proud to be Safe, Respectful, Responsible and Kind. During the 2016-17 school year, Weimar Hills staff committed to ongoing implementation of PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports). PBIS strategies will enhance our school’s culture and proactive approach towards providing multi-tiered supports for our students in a safe and nurturing environment.
Weimar Hills School is dedicated and focused on equipping our students with the 21st Century skills necessary to be successful and productive citizens in our global society. Weimar Hills provides high quality instruction aligned with state standards with a focus on STEAM exposure through the integration of technology for teaching and learning via student Chromebooks, student access to web research, computer labs, interactive whiteboards, sound systems and voice enhancers available in each classroom. Our master schedule supports a modified block with 90 minute core courses in Humanities, Science and Math daily in 5th-8th grades with a contained classroom model in 4th grade. Weimar Hills core curriculum is supported by a variety of STEAM themed courses, clubs and/or field trips including Spanish Docent, 6th Grade Science Camp, 5th grade at Challenger Learning Center, Physical Education, TAC (Theatre, Arts and Communication), Award Winning Rockestra, Music and Chorus, Art Docent, Robotics Club, Video Game Programming with Raspberry Pi, Award Winning First Lego League Robotics Teams, Homework Club, CARE Crew, ASB and athletics.
